The weekend before Nori's birthday we went to the zoo with the Barts. (It so happened to be John's aka Daddy Bart's Birthday too.) We had so much FUN. It was a lot of walking, but the kiddos did great. They have a special affection for one another. We could make a soundtrack of the day with Micah calling out "nori" again and again, making sure she was still there. With Nori in the background going"adecadecadecadeca".
This was Nori's first time to wear shoes... its funny to look at these since she is running around in shoes everyday now.
Nori has such a sweet heart. Its a joy to see her start to express herself. She is so loving to her stuffed animals... Lion is a favorite. he gets lots of love pats, rocking to sleep, and full on body hugs.
A new fun game in our house is smashing our faces on the mesh side of the pack and play.... Funny thing is this photo of Nori reminds me of one of Nori's ultrasound photos. Maybe this isn't a new game for her. hmmm.
It has been so cold here, i have trying to work with Nori on keeping a hat on her head. I love this one b/c it has a bean on top (for those who don't know that is our special name for her). As you can see the first try did not go so well, but she was very interested in pretending to talk on the phone!
Nori is all about a great headband, hats not so much... unless the hat is really a mixing bowl, then she puts it on every chance she gets.
Sorry we have been so neglectful of our blog, but we are back now. We have been really busy... trips, birthdays, shots, and moving!!!There are a few posts that should have been made before Nori's birthday, so I will back track till we are currant again. Enjoy!
So we had a great Birthday Day... I have been a bit sad, mourning the loss of my sweet little chubby baby. But no more! Now I have a big chubby toddler (who, by the way, cut her first molar today) and I am so excited to continue finding wonder in this world God created with her! She is changing so much and so fast, and it is a pure delight to share each day together. I am overwhelmed with just how blessed I am!
We turned the car seat to face forward for the first time, and I have never seen Nori laugh so hard and so long. She loved loved loved it! We laughed the whole way to Ben and Jerry's to have our free ice cream scoops. Nori had strawberry, and even tried to share some with Daddy. next we laughed the whole way home, where she got her birthday gift... a little doll house and car. She played with it all day today, so i think it was a good choice. Yeah! We made it, The Big One!
