Nori and John went out and had some fun in our 1 inch or snow covering. They even built a few snowmen... they were only about one foot in height, but they were snowmen just the same. Banner and I opted to stay warm and cozy in the house, but i did have hot chocolate ready and waiting as any good mother would! After warming up, the kids cozied up on Daddy's lap for an afternoon story from his favorite book... Car and Driver.
Banner weighed in at his one month visit at a whopping 11 lbs 13 oz... 95th percentile.
Nori and John had their first art class together today. She is already asking when the next class is. Now I'm a bit biased, but i must say, my daughter is quite an artist!
Note: the term "Birthiversary" is Kristi's special word for each of the 11 "month"-iversaries that precede one's 1st birthday. -Ed.
Despite some very disappointing conference losses lately, Banner keeps cheering. Welcome to my world, son. -John
Now I am not the kind of mom who will dress her family up for church or photos in matching outfits... aka khakis and white shirts, moose sweaters, etc... but there is something kind of wonderful about matching pjs!
Nori loves to play with Banner on his mat... today he was cooing back at her and patting her face with his hand. Its such a joy to see them together, I look forward to the day when they can really play together. I have a feeling Banner will be Nori's biggest fan!
This is how I found Nori playing in her room today... she had moved her rocking horse over to her kitchen and was rocking back and forth as she whisked some eggs.
Grammy sent Nori footed PJ's in a variety of styles; it is now a challenge to make her get dressed for the day...
There are few things as delightful as making ice cream when it's freezing cold outside.
Did I mention that we love Emily?
Nori is a good little mama... she swaddles her baby, feeds him bottles, and pats his back and "shushes" him to sleep.
