The Best Time of Day

9pm is one of my favorite times of the day... It is the last little moment i get to spend alone with my daughter in our own little world. After I change her into her sleep attire we nestle into the couch for her feeding. We have been doing this for 2 months now so she knows our routine. As she cozies up to me, I'll stroke her soft hair and whisper sweet words to her about how amazing she is... in this moment everything in the world is as it should be, and for 30 minutes we share a sweet peace. 9:30 on the other hand I don't like so much, especially now that Nori is sleeping in her own room.

What's new with Nori

So today was a big big day in the Craig house! Nori laughed, and i mean really laughed hard, for the first time. It was a delight to experience!!!!

This past week Nori has also made 2 new discoveries... her tongue and her bottom lip. All day long she sticks her tongue out on one side of her mouth and then the other. When she is not doing that she sucks on her lower lip for a few mins before she pouts it out... She is making silly faces all the time now! Man, my heart is full for this kid!!!

If only we were all this easy to love... the world would be a really different place.

2 Month Check Up

Well it has been 3 days since my daughter was sent to the Dr's office. We went in for her 2 month well visit. Nori was a doll! At 14 lbs 4 oz and 24 inches tall she is in the 97th percentile. The Dr commented on how strong she was(how well she was "standing" and holding her head up)... my sweet girl is already an overachiever... I'm sure she will be walking before this month is up! ;)

Next she got her shots, they were so traumatic that this is all I will write about it. But we all survived. Now look how well she sits in her bumbo seat (courtesy Shelly Tuttle, thanks Shelly), I have a feeling it will be a new favorite!

Two Months

Jan 4th was Nori's 2 month birthday. She is growing so fast! Last month Amy brought us a cupcake with yummy strawberry icing for Nori's one month, so this time I went to the same bakery and grabbed another(in a diff flavor this time)... I think this will become a tradition for us. The bakery in PolkaDots, and it is amazing!!!! I recommend it highly!!!

Nori is such a happy baby, she's so much fun just to be around! You can't help but smile back when she flashes you one.

Happy New Year! We, as tradition, we spent the night at the Stanfield's palace. What a great way to start the new year... relaxing with dear friends! As an extra special treat New Years Day we had dinner across the street at the Reynolds casa with a large number of folks. Sorry no photos from that event.
