Nori is 10 months old

Happy 10th Birthaversary Nori! You are a shining light in my life! Each day God reveals another secret of love tucked away inside of you like a treasure. I am so thankful for the beautiful creature He is growing you to be! Its crazy to think that in 2 months you will no longer be a little baby... I guess I should have seen the writing on the wall since it has been a long time since you have been little, my sweet chunk, and since you are trying so hard to walk and talk and do all the other things toddlers do.

Pat the Bunny

Nori loves loves loves this book... as soon as we get to the end we must start over again, and again, and again! Its so fun to see her really get it, and do the diff things on each page. If you listen closely you can hear her sniffing the flowers.(she always takes these really big sniffs) Thanks to the newlywed Jason and Amy for such a great book!

Nori Ninja Attacks Again

Nori Ninja was out in full force today. First she swiped my headband(she was super pleased with herself for that one) and next she went after John's nose... with a little less success... to John's relief it is still attached!

Cousins

Nori, Joshua, Ashley, and Jeremy had a visit this Labor Day. Side note; Jeremy is 3 months older than Nori and they both weigh 22 lbs. She is such a sweet chunk!

A Lake Beach is still a Beach

This is Nori's first time with waves "lapping" at her feet. She wiggled her toes in the sand and then tried to sit down in it. She is still our little observer... maybe we will get a bigger reaction when we go to the big beach soon.

My Family

Bath Time

Nori had a lot of new water adventures this weekend. One was a real bath in a big tub. She has fun splashing, but her favorite part still is being bundled up in the towel and then air drying afterwards.

Fun in the Sun

While on vacation we enjoyed the pool and lazy river. Then Nori kept warm in her Daddy's t shirt.

Lake Lure

God Blessed us this weekend! We got to spend a glorious, unexpected weekend in the Mountains!... thanks to a generous offer from The Guthmanns. This was the view that greeted us from the back porch!!!!

Bonk!

Nori has started making this funny face and blows air out her nose anytime she bonks her head on anything. This time it was the rail... but as you can see, she gets over it quickly and is on the move again.

A Fun New Game

We now spend a good part of each day crawling around the chair in Nori's room. Sometimes she wants to be chased, and others she wants to be found... but either way, we keep going round and round and round!

Summer swing time.

Thanks to Nana Sue, Nori has been having hours of fun on her new swing set! She LOVES her dolphin swing, and is starting to figure out the slide... I have a feeling she is going to be like her Daddy, and be all about fun rides and adventures!

My girl loves blue

Note the blue bucket, blue hippo, and blue elephant.... I promise we have toys in other colors, but this is the assortment she crawls around and collects for herself!

Going, going, gone

So, it looks like this a veiw I need to get use to seeing a lot of.

Fort Nori

Even away from home Nori was able to find some blue toys to play with... and even a fort to hide them in!

Micah and Nori

They really did have a great time playing together!!!! It was just those few moments when they wanted to have the same toy, that the "boxing out" came into play. They could be great ball players. We'll have to keep working on that small little thing called sharing... aka putting others before self.

Penny Pond

We went to Coats this past weekend to visit our dear old friends (who are not so old, hehe) the Barts. This is the view from their back porch... if this isn't beautiful enough to make you want to pause and take in a deep breath, I don't know what is! If you look close you can see a red bench across the pond, that use to be our backyard when we lived there.
